This Privacy Policy explains what information Anchors to Axles ("we," "us," "our"), run by James and Patricia, collects when you visit anchorstoaxles.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short because we collect very little.
Information you give us
- Newsletter signups. When you join our email list, we collect your email address and the page you signed up from.
- Contact and partnership inquiries. When you send an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, inquiry type and message, plus your company and website if you choose to include them.
- Emails you send us. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the Site, such as which pages are visited and how visitors arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Essential cookies. The Site sets a session cookie needed for our forms to work securely. It doesn't track you across other sites.
- Preferences. If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser remembers that choice on your device.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which helps keep the Site running and secure.
Embedded videos
Our videos are hosted on YouTube. Video pages show a thumbnail first and only load the YouTube player when you press play. The player uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and once it loads, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to your use of it.
How we use information
- To send the newsletter and updates you signed up for.
- To read and reply to your inquiries, including about partnerships and sponsorships.
- To understand what content is useful and improve the Site.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent spam and abuse.

How we share information
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the Site, such as our website host, our email delivery service, Google Analytics, and, if we use one, an email newsletter service. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.

- If the business changes hands, as part of that transfer.
Affiliate links and third-party sites
Some links on the Site go to other websites, including affiliate links where we may earn a commission. Those sites, and services such as YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, have their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies when you visit them. We're not responsible for their practices.
How long we keep information
- Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Inquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond and keep a record of the conversation, and deleted on request.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.
- You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing james@anchorstoaxles.com. We'll respond to every request, wherever you live.
- Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Union, you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us and we'll help.
Do Not Track
There's no common standard for responding to browser "Do Not Track" signals, so the Site doesn't change its behavior when it receives one.
Children
The Site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections. No website or online service is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the Site or in our newsletter.
